The
Grandview & District Community Resource Council is
pleased to announce that Danny Novalkowski has been
hired have been hired as the CAPYI Youth Intern for
the fall/winter term 2009/2010.
The
CAP program is a Canada wide government funded
initiative to get individuals and businesses in rural
communities connected to the internet and informed on
the use of different new technologies available today.
We
will be offering individual training sessions or group
sessions. A survey has been designed and distributed in
the community to see what type of training sessions
individuals are interested in.
Danny has started
training sessions the week of October 19th .
The term will continue until March 2010.
Sessions for the 2009-2010 term:
- Email and browsing
- Basic PC Maintenance
- Digital Camera and Scanner use
- Ipod
and/or MP3 Tips and Tricks
- Printing Tips and Trickss
- Protecting Yourself fromVirus and Spyware
- Photo Editing
- Exploring Useful Websites
A
Christmas E-Card cybercamp is also planned for December.
