Volunteering is a major component of a healthy community and the Grandview & District Community Resource Council recognizes and celebrates the outstanding efforts that volunteers provide to the community of Grandview.
The “Local Hero” Award is presented to an individual/individuals or an organization who have embodied the spirit of volunteerism and have made a lasting and meaningful contribution through their volunteer activities to one or more of the following:
Their
communities
Charitable or
non-profit organizations or groups
Community
boards, associations or groups
Public
institutions (arts, education, health,
libraries)
Church groups
Deadline for applications is March 31, 2011. The winner will be honored at a local banquet and social evening hosted by the Community Resource Council in April.
